The Company aims to deliver top quality agribusiness solutions in order to maximize the efficient production of Stevia leaf, which can reach the ever demanding sugar market. BNG Global holding under its subsidiary company BNG Stevia Plantation is poised to harvest its first crop in Malaysia and Sri Lanka soon. BNG will be the pioneers BNG intends to move into contract farming in East Malaysia and in Indonesia. Land is being acquired in Honduras for yet another Stevia plantation with the special tropical variety of Stevia saplings. Stevia is capitalizing on consumer demand for natural and healthy beverages. As this demand increases, Stevia’s popularity too will rise. In the next couple of years it is being predicted that the consumption of Stevia ingredients is expected to more than triple.

Our Stevia research centre is in Pune and our strategic partner is Sun Fruits. Sun Fruits develops a unique variety of Sweet herb Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni (srb128) suitable for Indian climatic conditions. This variety has Sweet Glucoside content of more than sixteen percent as against average of 8 percent. Most important characteristic of this variety is smooth tasting sweet leaves that do not have characterised liquorice like after taste so common in other Stevia varieties. Sun Fruits is applying for international patent for this variety.

During early November 2008 team of international Sweetener market majors visied Sun Fruits research facilities in Maval near in Pune. All of them appreciated the organoleptic qualities of the new stevia variety and unanimously declared that this variety has tremendous future due to its unparalleled smooth sweet taste.

With increasing adverse public perception about artificial sweeteners stevia is being once again getting the due attention from international intense sweetener players. Already Coca Cola and Cargill have taken lead in applying for 16 patents for different uses of stevia. World wind trends that are emerging indicate that Stevia is likely to be a major part of 12 billion dollar international intents sweetener market.

With growing world demand for Stevia extract, there is an acute shortage of quality dried Stevia leaves. So much so that the prices for good quality Stevia leaves have gone up by thirty percent during last sixmonths and likely to climb further due to gap in demand and supply. With Indian Ayurvedic majors having commenced using Stevia in their formulations this gap between demand and supply is likely to widen further.

How ever the demand would be only for good quality Stevia leaves grown form proper variety and dried scientifically. There is plenty of low quality Stevia leaves produced from cuttings and F2 generation available in open market at throw away price.

Stevia leaf powder produced by Sun Fruits is really unique and has best taste as compared to other brands in world. Sun Fruits is also introducing SFL STEVIA TEA BAGS a product that is unique and having great taste and quality.
